The founder and CEO, Lei Jun, acknowledged the comparison to Steve Jobs, but stated that he didn't want Xiaomi to be compared to Apple, but rather to Amazon. However, it's clear that Xiaomi wanted to be compared to Apple, as they took advantage of their popularity and even copied some of their designs.
