- Safe Mode: Restart your computer in Safe Mode, then connect the external storage device and see if it works.
- Disk Management: Open Disk Management (press Win + X and select Disk Management), right-click on the external storage device, and choose "Properties." Go to the "Policies" tab and uncheck "Optimize for quick removal" before clicking "OK."
