Introduction
In this article, we will discuss how to limit screen time on a MacBook running OS X 10.11.1 (El Capitan) using the built-in Parental Controls feature.
Step 1: Enable Parental Controls
1. Open System Preferences from the Apple menu.
2. Click on the "Parental Controls" icon.
3. Click the lock icon and enter your administrator password to make changes.
4. Select the user account for which you want to set screen time limits.
Step 2: Set Up Time
5. Click on the "Content" tab, then click on "Set Up Time" on the right side.
6. Click "Turn On" to enable the Time Schedule.
7. Set the desired time limits for weekdays and weekends.
Step 3: (Optional) Set App-Specific Time Limits
8. Click on the "Apps" tab.
9. Select the app for which you want to set a time limit.
10. Click on "Limit" and set the desired time limit for that app.
Step 4: Review and Save Changes
11. Review the settings and click "OK" to save the changes.
