To restore the default Zip file functionality in Windows, follow the steps below:

Right-click on My Computer (or This PC in newer versions) and select Properties.

Click on the Advanced system settings link on the left side.

In the Performance section, click on the Settings button.

In the Performance Options window, click on the Data Execution Prevention tab.

Select the Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select option.

Click on the Add button, and then browse to the location of your zip utility (e.g., WinZip, 7-Zip). Select the executable file (usually with a .exe extension) and click Open.

Click OK to close the Add Exceptions window, and then click OK again to close the Performance Options window.

Click OK one more time to close the System Properties window.
Now, the default Zip file functionality should be restored, and your chosen zip utility should work correctly.
