TP-Link USB Hub Not Working Properly with Asus Zenbook 14
Last week, I bought a TP-Link USB 3.0 hub, which offers 3 USB 3.0 ports and a gigabit internet port. I connected the hub to my Asus Zenbook 14 UM3402YA laptop, wanting to test the wired internet connection. However, I encountered some issues with the USB hub not working properly.
Checking the USB Hub Connection
The first step I took was to ensure that the USB hub was properly connected to the laptop. I checked both the USB cable and the hub for any visible damage, but I didn't find any. I then tried connecting the hub to a different USB port on the laptop, but the issue persisted.

Checking the Device Drivers
Next, I checked the device drivers to ensure that they were up to date and properly installed. I went to the Device Manager on my laptop and looked for any unknown devices or devices with errors. However, everything appeared to be in order.

Troubleshooting the USB Hub
After checking the connection and device drivers, I tried troubleshooting the USB hub. I disconnected and reconnected the hub, restarted the laptop, and tried using a different USB cable. Unfortunately, none of these solutions worked.
Contacting TP-Link Support
Since I couldn't resolve the issue myself, I contacted TP-Link support. They asked me to perform some additional troubleshooting steps, such as updating the firmware and testing the hub on a different computer. However, these steps also didn't resolve the issue.
In conclusion, I was unable to get the TP-Link USB 3.0 hub to work properly with my Asus Zenbook 14 UM3402YA laptop. Although I tried several troubleshooting steps and contacted TP-Link support, the issue persisted. I will need to look into alternative USB hub options or contact Asus support for further assistance.
