LG's OLED MLAs and Alpha 11 AI processor have been refined by both companies to enhance their OLED and QD-OLED technologies, respectively, boosting their competitiveness. Although LG did not present any major announcements at CES 2024, it is worth noting that the Alpha 11 AI processor, which works in conjunction with the second-generation OLED MLA panels, enables televisions to deliver peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Although the X955 model, which previously held the title for the most ambitious mini LED TV, boasts 5,184 local dimming zones, the improvement is noticeable. Additionally, the QM891G can deliver peak brightness of 5,000 nits. Furthermore, it supports a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and a Game Accelerator mode that can reach 240 Hz at 1080p. Another noteworthy model, the QM851G, also features a mini LED backlight and can deliver peak brightness of 5,000 nits. It also supports a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and has 5,000 local dimming zones.
