DuckDuckGo Settings
Introduction
DuckDuckGo is a privacy-focused search engine that does not track users or store their personal data. In this article, we will discuss how to set up DuckDuckGo on Firefox and how to manage the settings.
Setting up DuckDuckGo on Firefox
To set up DuckDuckGo on Firefox, follow these steps:
- Open Firefox browser.
- Click on the menu icon (three horizontal lines) located at the top right corner of the browser window.
- Click on "Options" from the dropdown menu.
- In the "General" tab, find the "Search" section.
- Click on the dropdown menu next to "Search engine" and select "Manage Search Engines".
- Scroll down until you find "DuckDuckGo" and click on the "Make Default" button.
Managing DuckDuckGo Settings
After setting up DuckDuckGo, you can manage the settings as follows:
- Open the Firefox browser.
- Click on the menu icon (three horizontal lines) located at the top right corner of the browser window.
- Click on "Options" from the dropdown menu.
- In the "Search" section, click on the dropdown menu next to "Default search engine" and select "DuckDuckGo".
- To change the search settings, click on the "Edit" button next to "DuckDuckGo" in the "Search Engines" section.
Exit Firefox Settings
After making changes to the settings, click on the "OK" button to save the changes and close the options window. The settings will now be applied to DuckDuckGo on Firefox.
Troubleshooting
If you find that the settings are not working or have disappeared, it is possible that Firefox was closed before the settings could be saved. In this case, reopen Firefox and try the setup process again.
