Accessing a Remote Machine via VPN (RDP) Port
To access a remote machine via VPN (RDP), you'll need to have full access to the machine, which allows you to install programs if necessary. The machines in question are running Windows.
Prerequisites:
- A VPN connection to the network where the remote machine resides.
- Remote Desktop (RDP) enabled on the remote machine.
- The RDP client installed on your local machine.
Steps:

Establish a VPN connection: Connect to the VPN server that provides access to the network where your remote machine is located.

Find the RDP port: By default, the RDP port is 3389. However, it can be changed, so you may need to find the correct port number.

Open the RDP client: On your local machine, open the Remote Desktop Connection application.

Enter the remote machine's details: In the "Computer" field, enter the IP address or hostname of the remote machine. In the "Port" field, enter the port number if it's not the default (3389).

Connect: Click "Connect" to establish the RDP connection.

Enter credentials: When prompted, enter the username and password for the remote machine.

Accept certificates: If the remote machine presents a certificate, accept it if you trust the machine.

Access the remote machine: Once connected, you'll be logged into the remote machine and can use it as if you were physically present.
