Abstract: This article provides steps to increase the scaling factor from the default 100% to a desired value, such as 150% or 175%, in RDP sessions on fresh Windows 11 Pro installations.

To increase the scaling factor in a Windows 11 Pro RDP session, follow these steps:

Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings".
Under the "Scale and layout" section, click on the dropdown menu next to "Scale".
Choose the desired scaling percentage. For example, you can try 150% or 175%.
Click on "Apply" and then "OK".

However, please note that this setting will apply to the local machine only. If you want to apply this setting for an RDP session, you'll need to adjust the Remote Desktop Client settings:

Open the Remote Desktop Connection application.
In the "Computer" field, enter the IP address or hostname of the Windows 11 Pro machine.
Click on the "Display" tab.
Under the "Remote desktop size" section, select "Full screen 125%" or "Full screen 150%" depending on the scaling factor you chose in step 3.
Click on "Connect".

This should help you increase the scaling factor in your Windows 11 Pro RDP session.
