Creating Spreadsheets with Full Screen Mode

Problem:

Upon opening a spreadsheet, a task pane or something similar unexpectedly appears on the right side. You cannot find or hide it, making it difficult to work in the full screen mode.

Solution:

1. First, check if the task pane is associated with a specific feature in Excel, such as the Research pane, the Formulas pane, or the Name Box. If you find the culprit, you can disable it by right-clicking on the pane and selecting "Close."

2. If the issue persists, try resetting your Excel options. To do this, follow these steps:

   a. Click on the "File" tab in the top-left corner of Excel.

   b. Select "Options" from the drop-down menu.

   c. In the Excel Options dialog box, click on the "Add-Ins" tab.

   d. In the "Manage" section, select "Excel Add-ins" from the drop-down list.

   e. Click on the "Go..." button to open the Add-In Manager dialog box.

   f. Select any add-ins that you do not need, and click on the "Remove" button.

   g. Click "OK" to close the Add-In Manager dialog box.

   h. Click "OK" again to close the Excel Options dialog box.

   i. Restart Excel and check if the task pane issue has been resolved.

3. If the problem still persists, consider resetting your Excel settings to their default values. To do this:

   a. Click on the "File" tab.

   b. Select "Options" from the drop-down menu.

   c. In the Excel Options dialog box, click on the "General" tab.

   d. Click on the "Reset" button at the bottom of the dialog box.

   e. In the confirmation dialog box, click on the "Reset" button again.

   f. Click "OK" to close the Excel Options dialog box.

   g. Restart Excel and check if the task pane issue has been resolved.
