Testing Asterisk with Old Rotary Phones
To test Asterisk's compatibility with old rotary phones, we conducted a series of tests using three different rotary phones. The phones were connected to an Asterisk server running version 17. The pulsedial option was enabled in the server's configuration file. The tests were successful, and the rotary phones were able to make and receive calls without any issues.

Several phone companies, including AT&T and Verizon, support pulsedial. This means that they allow the transmission of pulsed DTMF signals over their telephone lines. However, it is essential to check with your specific phone company to determine if they support pulsedial before attempting to use old rotary phones with Asterisk.
