Fixing Access HP BIOS: Installing HackBGRT and Forgetting Disable Secure Boot

If you have accidentally disabled Secure Boot in your HP BIOS and now want to re-enable it, or if you need to install HackBGRT to gain access to the BIOS settings, this article will guide you through the process.

Accessing HP BIOS Menu

Before you begin, make sure your computer is powered off. Press the ESC or F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu. The key may vary depending on your HP model. If you are unable to enter the BIOS setup menu, refer to your computer's user manual or contact HP support.

Entering Administrator Password

Once you are in the BIOS setup menu, look for the "Security" tab. Under this tab, you will find the "Secure Boot" option. If you have accidentally disabled it, you will need to re-enable it. However, if you are unable to do so due to a forgotten administrator password, you will need to install HackBGRT.

To install HackBGRT, you will need to create a bootable USB drive with the HackBGRT image. You can download the latest version of HackBGRT from the following link:

Once you have downloaded the image, follow these steps:

Creating a Bootable USB Drive

1. Plug in a USB drive with at least 2GB of free space.

2. Download and install Rufus from the following link:

3. Launch Rufus and select your USB drive as the target device.

4. Under "Device," select "Disk" and then "Create a bootable disk using image file."

5. Browse to the location where you downloaded the HackBGRT image and select it.

6. Click "Start" to create the bootable USB drive.

Installing HackBGRT

1. Restart your computer and press the key to enter the BIOS setup menu.

2. Navigate to the "Boot" tab and set your USB drive as the first boot device.

3. Save and exit the BIOS setup menu.

4. Your computer will now boot from the USB drive. Follow the on-screen instructions to install HackBGRT.

Re-enabling Secure Boot

Once you have installed HackBGRT, you should be able to enter the BIOS setup menu without needing the administrator password. To re-enable Secure Boot:

1. Enter the BIOS setup menu.
2. Navigate to the "Security" tab.
3. Find the "Secure Boot" option and set it to "Enabled."
4. Save and exit the BIOS setup menu.
