We will guide you through the process of setting up TP-Link's Parental Controls and WDS Bridge using the TL-WR940N router, covering key concepts and subtitles along the way.
Setting up the TL-WR940N Router
First, connect the TL-WR940N router to your computer using an Ethernet cable. Launch a web browser and enter 192.168.0.1 in the address bar. This will take you to the router's login page. Enter the default username and password, which are both admin.
Changing the SSID and Password
Once you've logged in, click on the Network tab, then select Wireless. Here, you can change the SSID and password. Make sure to choose a strong password that includes a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters.
Setting up Parental Controls
TP-Link's Parental Controls allow you to manage your network's internet access, including setting time limits and blocking certain websites. To set up Parental Controls, click on the Security tab, then select Access Control. From here, you can create profiles for each user and set the appropriate access controls.
Setting up WDS Bridge
WDS Bridge allows you to extend the range of your wireless network by connecting two or more routers. To set up WDS Bridge, click on the Network tab, then select Wireless. Under Wireless Settings, select WDS Bridging and enter the MAC address of the other router. Make sure to also check the Enable WDS Bridging box.
