Disabling Remote Management on a Linksys WRT1200AC Router
If you've recently updated the firmware on your Linksys WRT1200AC router and can't find the option to disable remote management in the menu, don't worry - you're not alone. What is Remote Management?
Remote management is a feature that allows you to access and configure your router from anywhere with an internet connection. While this can be convenient, it also poses a security risk, as it makes your router vulnerable to attacks from outside your network. For this reason, many users choose to disable remote management once they've finished setting up their network.
Finding the Remote Management Option
To disable remote management on your Linksys WRT1200AC router, you'll need to log in to the router's web-based control panel. To do this, open a web browser and enter 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. This will take you to the login page for your router. Enter your username and password when prompted.
Once you're logged in, look for a menu item labeled "Remote Management" or "Remote Access". This may be located under the "Administration" or "Security" heading. If you can't find it, try using the search function built into the control panel.
Disabling Remote Management
