To address the most frequent user questions, Google has introduced a method that, unsurprisingly, utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The explosive growth of AI last year suggests that the trend will continue in the new year. Google, being one of the most influential tech companies, has Google Bard, which will reportedly merge with its voice assistant, creating Assistant Bard. Apart from the chatbot, Google plans to use its AI in Gmail and other office suite services. The missing piece was the integration of AI in the Play Store.
According to a post on The SpAndroid enthusiast blog, Google is developing a generative AI function to answer the most frequent app-related questions on the Play Store. Users can verify this by enabling a flag (a hidden feature under development), which activates a summary of the key aspects of each app. Furthermore, the integrated AI in the Play Store will help answer questions about app functions and features, as well as provide related recommendations. Google will label which summaries have been generated by AI to maintain transparency.
The company seems to be gearing up to launch this new feature in the coming weeks, as their advanced state suggests. Google continues to implement the capabilities of generative AI. There are still features to be added, such as bringing GeminiBard to Spanish and deploying GeminiNano on devices like the Pixel 8. Additionally, it is expected that AI will also arrive on Android Auto.
