Using Outlook's Zoom plugin with two different Zoom and email accounts, within same profile - How to avoid log in prompt?
Outlook's Zoom plugin is a useful tool for scheduling and joining Zoom meetings directly from your Outlook calendar. However, if you have multiple Zoom and email accounts within the same Outlook profile, you may encounter a login prompt every time you try to use the Zoom plugin. This can be frustrating and time-consuming, but there are a few steps you can take to avoid the login prompt and streamline your Zoom experience.
Step 1: Enable Multiple Accounts
The first step is to ensure that you have enabled multiple accounts in Outlook. This will allow you to have different Zoom and email accounts within the same profile without the need for constant login prompts.
- Open Outlook and go to the "File" tab.
- Select "Options" from the drop-down menu.
- In the Outlook Options window, click on "Advanced".
- Scroll down to the "Other" section and check the box next to "Enable multiple accounts".
- Click "OK" to save the changes.
Step 2: Configure Zoom Plugin
Once you have enabled multiple accounts, you can configure the Zoom plugin to work smoothly with your different Zoom and email accounts.
- Open Outlook and go to the "File" tab.
- Select "Options" from the drop-down menu.
- In the Outlook Options window, click on "Add-Ins".
- Under "Manage", select "COM Add-ins" and click "Go...".
- In the COM Add-Ins window, make sure the box next to "Zoom Meetings" is checked.
- Click "OK" to save the changes.
Step 3: Sign in to Zoom Accounts
Now that you have configured the Zoom plugin, you need to sign in to your Zoom accounts within Outlook to avoid the login prompt.
- Open Outlook and go to the "Home" tab.
- Click on the "Zoom" button in the toolbar.
- A login window will appear. Enter the email and password for one of your Zoom accounts and click "Sign In".
- If you have multiple Zoom accounts, repeat the previous step for each account.
Step 4: Select Default Account
To further streamline the process and avoid any confusion, you can select a default Zoom account to use with the Zoom plugin.
- Open Outlook and go to the "Home" tab.
- Click on the "Zoom" button in the toolbar.
- In the Zoom window, click on the drop-down menu next to your profile picture.
- Select the Zoom account that you want to set as the default.
By following these steps, you can use Outlook's Zoom plugin with multiple Zoom and email accounts within the same profile without encountering constant login prompts. This will save you time and make scheduling and joining Zoom meetings much more convenient.
